Death always seems to come in threes, doesn’t it? Of course I’m sure you already know what I’m talking about.
So we should first have a moment of silence for… the political career of “promise keeper” Nevada Sen. John Ensign, which met an untimely death by blunt hypocrisy trauma after an affair with a former staffer and massive cover up came to light. (sniff)
Then we should continue mourning because of the passing of another career, that of South Carolina Republican Gov. Mark “Appalachian-walk-on-the-wild-side-(but-actually-in-Argentina)” Sanford (with double sadness points for his embryonic dreams of being a GOP Presidential candidate also getting killed in the carnage).
Of course that is only two, but I’m sure there will be another “family values” career petard hoisting any day now. What with Republicans like Foley, Craig, Vitter, Gibbons, Fossella, Gingrich, and (lest we forget) John McCain, these guys can’t seem to help but bone home the “Christian Family Values” meme like an Argentinian political adviser in an Minneapolis airport men’s bathroom. Bring on the Republican career death Trifecta baby!!!

I wish I could wish it away, but this soul-mate feel I alluded too is real and in that regard I sure don’t want to be the person complicating your life. I looked to where I often look for advice and counsel, and in I Corinthians 13 it simply says that, “ Love is patient and kind, love is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant or rude, Love does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice in the wrong, but rejoices in the right, Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things”.

I also like the way Rush is blaming Obama for Sanford running out on his 4 kids on Father’s Day to get some strange. Classic “Personal Responsibility.”
Considering the history of Republicans making careers for themselves by attacking other for what they themselves do, I doubt the GOP base will care about these schmoes. As long as they aren’t dirty liberals, everything is okay. We forgive you, Sanford! We forgive you for being a hypocrite. You have an (R) by your name.
